Cake display case with black Trespa shelves, by Jasper

For a coffee bar in Amsterdam I made this metal cake display case with glass, and beautiful OPMAATZAGEN.nl black for displaying the food.

DIY: cake display case

Made of steel corner profiles at the bottom and in the I welded uprights and T profiles to a frame at the top. I finished this with Scano floor oil so that it shines, no longer emits dirt and has decent rust protection. I incorporated glass plates and which were attached using black polymax kit. These blend nicely into the profiling of the steel. I used shims to align the Trespa plates at the same height as the steel edge.
