Description of Bastiaan
The idea was to make a built-in wardrobe in our bedroom. We got inspiration on the internet and saw many people using IKEA PAX units to make the base of the built-in wardrobe. We made a wooden frame in which 3 IKEA PAX units are built in. We chose 50cm - 75cm - 50cm for a total width of 175cm. Because we wanted the doors to run from the floor to the ceiling, we had MDF boards cut to size by TOSIZE.de.
How I made this project
We measured the IKEA PAX units and then entered the dimensions on the website of TOSIZE.de. In addition, we drilled hinges into the MDF boards ourselves with a special drill bit. Make sure you drill from above, otherwise there is a chance that the drill bit will deviate to the left or right. Measure everything well and then use a special template to drill the correct holes in the MDF and the PAX cabinet in order to then adjust the doors properly and finish it off.
Dimensions of my DIY project
The total unit is approx. 175cm wide and approx. 240cm high
