Description

To make optimal use of the office of our house, I made a floating desk together with my father. Through very careful measuring work, we were ultimately able to create a nice workplace with plenty of space. The challenge was mainly sawing the edges to size since the walls in our house are not straight. The pine desktop leans on beams that are attached to the wall, which provides sufficient support.

How did you make the desk?

The 4.0 cm thick beams are level on the wall to be attached with screws that go far enough into the wall, we have created an edge for the table top to rest on. We then cut out a recess by sawing the edges neatly straight with a circular saw. With crooked walls, it is essential to first measure the space properly. This prevents you from accidentally sawing away too much wood.

What are the dimensions?

The dimensions are 240.0 cm by 80.0 cm.
