Description of Martijn and Iris

In this episode of Weer Verliefd op je Huis, Kelly van Gendt tackled the cozy 1930s home of Martijn and Iris in Haarlem. Although their home has a lot of character, it still lacked the cohesion and tranquility that the couple was looking for. With their different living styles and two young children, it was a challenge to create a harmonious whole. Kelly opted for a fresh, calm style with smart solutions for storage space and warmth in the interior.

One of the couple's wishes was a stylish yet practical place for their books and accessories. Kelly found the perfect solution in the form of a custom-made shelving unit via the TOSIZE Furniture configurator, model TSFC053 . This unit was painted in a warm shade that fits seamlessly with the rest of the interior.

Kelly: "This cabinet has really become the heart of the living room. The combination of open compartments and closed storage space creates a nice balance between functional and stylish. It not only gives the room a luxurious look, but also offers plenty of storage space for books, games and toys."

The cabinet, with a height of 265 cm, width of 100 cm and depth of 44 cm, is fully integrated into the space and was custom-made according to the exact wishes of Martijn and Iris. The result? A perfect mix of style and functionality, exactly what the couple needed to give their home a new look.

How I made this project

Martijn and Iris are very happy with their new living room and especially with the beautiful custom cabinet that not only functions as an eye-catcher, but also fits perfectly with their busy family life. The cabinet offers them exactly the storage space they needed, with a stylish finish that brings the space to life.
